Kovai Nagarathar Kalyanamalai

Kovai Nagarathar Kalyanamalai (“KNK Matrimony”, “we”) is a matchmaking service for the Tamil Nagarathar community, run by Annaporani Ramanathan Trust, #45, Chettinad Heritage Centre, RS Puram, Coimbatore - 641002, Tamil Nadu, India. By creating an account you agree to these terms. Please read them — they are short and they matter.

Who may use this service

You may register if you:

  • are 18 years or older;
  • are legally free to marry — unmarried, divorced or widowed;
  • are genuinely seeking marriage for yourself, or creating a profile for a family member with their knowledge and consent;
  • can provide a valid Aadhaar for verification.

A profile may be created by a parent, sibling, grandparent or relative. If you create a profile for someone else, you confirm they know about it and agree to it. One person may hold one profile only; the same Aadhaar cannot be registered twice.

Your account

You log in with your phone number and a PIN. Keep your PIN to yourself — anyone who has it can act as you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. We cannot read your PIN, only reset it, so we will verify who you are before resetting it.

Several family members may share one phone number where that is how the household works, but each profile still belongs to the person it describes.

Verification

Every profile is checked by our team before it becomes visible to other members. We may ask for more information, correct obvious errors, or decline to verify a profile. If a verified profile is later found to be false or misleading, we may withdraw that verification and hide it.

Verification confirms identity, not claims. We check that you are a real person with a valid Aadhaar. We do not and cannot independently confirm everything a member says about their education, job, income, family or horoscope. Please make your own enquiries before making any decision.

What you agree to do

  • Give true, current information about yourself, and correct it when it changes.
  • Upload only photographs of the person the profile describes, which you have the right to use.
  • Treat other members with respect.

What you must not do

  • Pretend to be someone else, or create a profile for a person who has not agreed to it.
  • Give false details about your age, marital status, family or background.
  • Harass, threaten, abuse or repeatedly contact a member who has not accepted your request.
  • Misuse contact details you receive. When two members connect, phone numbers are shared for the purpose of discussing a possible marriage — nothing else. Do not pass them to anyone, add them to groups or lists, or use them to sell anything.
  • Use the service to advertise, recruit, solicit money, or promote another matrimony service.
  • Copy, scrape or bulk-collect profiles, photographs or contact details by any means.
  • Try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.

Members can report a profile. While a report is being reviewed, the two members are hidden from each other. If we find a serious breach we may hide, close or permanently remove a profile or account, and we may do so without notice where members could be harmed.

Photographs and content you upload

Your photographs, videos and profile text remain yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to other members who are allowed to see your profile, and to include them in the profile sheet our team uses for matchmaking. That permission exists only to run this service. We do not use your photographs in advertising and we do not sell them. It ends when you remove the content or close your profile.

We may remove content that breaks these terms, is not a photograph of the member, or is unsuitable for a community matrimony service.

No promise of a match

We provide a place to find and contact suitable people. We do not promise that you will find a match, receive requests, or that any introduction will lead to a marriage. Whether to meet, continue or marry is entirely your decision and your family’s. We are not a party to any relationship or marriage that follows, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or in person.

Please take the usual sensible precautions: meet in public at first, involve your family, and verify important claims yourself.

Payments

This app does not take payments. We do not ask for card or bank details, and there is nothing to pay through the website or app. If anyone asks you to pay through this service, it is not us — please report it to us immediately. Any membership arrangement with the Trust is handled separately and offline.

Closing your profile

You may close your profile at any time from your account. Closing it hides you from other members and withdraws your pending requests. Reopening it requires our team, so that a profile cannot be closed and reopened repeatedly to avoid a report. What happens to your data afterwards is set out in our privacy policy.

Availability

We try to keep the service running and to protect your information, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. It may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We will restore normal service as quickly as we can.

Our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, the Trust is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, for the accuracy of what other members say about themselves, or for the conduct of other members. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction over any dispute.
